​It has been said many times that farmers are the first conservationists.  How else could they farm the same land for generations?  Sustainable measures are used to grow crops to keep the land productive and the soil healthy to retain water and nutrients.  Some practices have been used for decades, but newer agronomic technics are used to conserve resources while not jeopardizing yield.
